Grace and Peace from the Most Holy Trinity!
Mary Queen of Heaven Missionaries is a religious community established in the Archdiocese of Cebu, Philippines by His Eminence Ricardo J. Cardinal Vidal, Archbishop of Cebu. The Heart of the Good Shepherd, shared by Mary, moves us to seek the stray and fallen away in the person of the victims of prostitution and in the power that the Holy Spirit gives, bring them back to the bosom of the Father. We search for them in the bars and casas and along streets in the red light districts, offering them a decent way of living in our “Home of Love”, a rehabilitation and livelihood training center for them and their children. Those who are willing to embrace God’s grace of renewed life with Him, are sheltered in the Home of Love with all the basic provisions, free of charge: Temporary Shelter for a maximum of five years until they are ready for integrations into their family and community; Food Assistance , which consists of simple but adequate meals and snacks, as well as free infant milk and meals for their children; Medical and Dental Check-up and Psychological Therapy with individual and group counseling; Functional Literacy and Formal Educational Assistance in public school for them and their children; Livelihood Training Program in Sewing, Cooking, Baking, Candle Making, Rosary and Scapular Making etc. and their daily Prayer and Adoration, Monthly Confession and regular Sunday Mass and Basic Catechism Class comprise their Spiritual Formation. They also have their Sports and Recreational activities. Furthermore, we established an educational assistance program for the poorest of the poor in the mountain ranges to protect their children from exploitation and prostitution, since poverty is the leading cause of prostitution. They are granted free tuition fees, and other school fees, free uniform, shoes, bags and raincoat, whole year supply of educational materials, leadership training and spiritual formation. Fifty beneficiaries from every mountain municipality are being sustained in their schooling from first year until they finish High School. Currently, there are a total of 844 high school beneficiaries from 19 mountain municipalities. We need more sponsors to be able to reach out to the other poor barangays in the mountain. To be able to sustain all these services, we need compassionate and generous-hearted mission partners and/or monthly sponsors for the daily sustenance of our clients. Donations of livelihood equipments and supplies in Sewing and Baking pose as one of our urgent needs. May you and your friends respond generously to support our livelihood program/project for our clients. With loving trust in the Divine Providence, we pray to God through the Queen of Heaven to bless you all the more! Together in Jesus, Mary and Joseph, SR. MA. CORAZON J. SALAZAR, MQHM
